Stephen DiRienzo
Steve DiRienzo is a Derby native and graduate of Sacred Heart University with a BA in Graphic Design and Illustration.

Having drawn from a very early age (as well as during many a class at Derby High School), he is a painter and part-time photographer with an eye for pop culture, and a passion for art history – his visual focus encompasses a wide range of diverse subjects, covering everything from the local scene, to portraits of famous faces, and the sublime beauty of the inanimate world, all in a style that is both edgy and expressive.

He is a full-time graphic artist, specializing in print/web design & development. Having worked for several local advertising agencies throughout the years, he now runs his own freelance based graphic design business, servicing small and start up companies.

In addition, he also teaches a beginner's illustration workshop & basic drawing and painting course on a childrens', teen or adult level for individuals or groups, at the Valley Center of the Arts in Derby and The Giggling Pig Children's Art Studio in downtown Shelton and also taught the newly developed summer art camp at St. Mary's St. Michael's School, also located in Derby.

Steve devotes his energies to many artistic endeavors & in addition to serving as the Vice President of the Valley Arts Council, as well as a member of the Advisory Board of the Oil Drum Art Campaign, he also finds time to design tattoos and learn guitar.
