Tommie Howell
Tommie Howell is an award winning sculptor and opinionated loudmouth who lives in Connecticut's Lower Naugatuck Valley. He began sculpting in the mid 1990's after a failed career as a boiled peanut salesman and one man roadside attraction somewhere in the deep south. While Tommie's work spans a variety of subject matter, his main focus tends toward the dark and phantasmic.

In a pure act of altruistic self-interest Tommie designed a sculpting tool that has gotten rave reviews from literally around the world. One luminary in the Garage Kit Model sculpting realm referred to Tommie's "Ultimate Sculpting Tool" as the "Best product to be released in 2010." His sculptures are in private collections as far away as New Zealand, and has shown in galleries including the Bead Museum in Washington D.C. The sculpture Buddha of Hope won Best In Show/Designers Choice Award at the Craft and Hobby Association Summer Conference in Chicago. He currently has work featured in the book A Collection of Polymer Clay Masks by Sarajane Helm.
