"While the body of my work consists primarily of acrylic landscapes, I do not consider myself a Landscape Painter but rather an artist who strives to interpret people and places of 'Character". The tradional pastel colors of cottages in Bermuds, a Viet Nam War Veteran selling hot dogs along the side of the road, or the cement cathedrals of highway bridges and overpasses inspire me to paint them not only for their visual impact but rather for their particular reason for being. What is old was once new and what is new will eventually be old. The full spectrum of their existence is in my mind before, during, and after I have expressed them in my art work".
