“Go Green with Art” In honor of Earth Day come join us for a fun filled day. Lets go green, learn to reuse, recycle, and reduce through many hands on activities. Fun for the whole family. Sat. April 26, 12-4 p.m. Winner of our “Go Green with Art” poster will be chosen.

“Dinosaur Day” Be a part of this prehistoric adventure! Hunt for dinosaur eggs, learn about fossils, escavate dinosaur bones, meet our life size resident T-Rex, and much more. Fun for the whole family, free admission and gift for every child. Sat. May 18, 12-4 p.m.

ART OF GIVING

The Valley Arts Council is collaborating with the Valley Philanthropic Council to offer the community the first annual, “Art of Giving” show, at the Greater Valley Chamber of Commerce, 900 Bridgeport Avenue, Shelton, CT.  The show will be in the month of November, at a time of national thanksgiving and to honor our country’s veterans.  The purpose of the show is to celebrate the essence of giving of oneself to another, unselfishly and without an agenda.

The gala opening will be at the Greater Valley Chamber of Commerce, 900 Bridgeport Avenue, Shelton, CT, Sunday, November 9th from 1-5 pm. The art will remain on display until Sat. Dec. 6th. All are welcome to attend. There is no admission charge, although a can of food or a donation to a charity of your choosing is always welcome.
